I loved that place. Got to it via a lift if I remember correctly. All the tribes were there. All in their areas of the club, then when their 20 mins of music came on, they'd take over the dancefloor. Twenty minutes of indie, then straight into 20 minutes of Acid Jazz! Many a great night there around 1987 ish. |  |

Pretty perfect description....although I never went in the lift....it was either not working or the bouncers who i can still picture as they moved around the clubs would not entertain the idea of us using them.
i would have gone around 88-90ish ?
Miss those sticky floors....and newcy brown seemed to be the beer of choice....lots of animalistic performances going on upstairs in the dark corners too....it was really ..... pre 21st century.ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh [Post edited 26 Mar 2021 14:44]

I last went there in January '88 with a girl on a first date - great days...
Probably never went there no more than a half a dozen times all told. From memory it was the last choice after The 1st floor and Cindy's (behind The Running Buck/Caines?) until Hollywoods opening probably killed it off? |  |

Thursday nights, Hollywoods. Far too many of them than I would like to admit but it was that sort of decent night where I would know so many people from school and sixth form both then and in the Summer holidays from uni. That beer was absolutely dreadful though.
Traders on a Friday night could be pretty decent when I was 18 too, especially with the table football in there. |  |

A couple of weeks before your 18th, they’d send you an envelope full of free tickets, and if you needed more than they’d sent you, you just had to ring up and ask for some more.... it’s always someone’s 18th when you’re in the upper sixth, so from the Monday onwards, the conversations focussed on the latest instalment of ITFC at the peak of Lyall Style and who had the Hollywoods vouchers for the coming Thursday.
